Take six rashers of thick cut bacon, cook til the fat is quite crispy and the bacon is firm, not limp, not c rispy, but firm, take a roll and toast it in the pan used to cook the bacon, then add some brown sauce and enjoy bacon how it should be.

Seriously though, that looks delicious. My father-in-law smokes his own British bacon, and it’s amazing .

Not sure where in the US you are from, but in the Northeast/NYC area we called it Canadian bacon, or back bacon, and then once we visited Ireland we called it rashers.

Never heard of fried ham.

HP Brown Sauce is a mildly spicy sauce, ideally suited to pork.

I believe the closest you get in the states is A1 sauce, but don’t take my word for that as I’ve never tasted A1 sauce before it’s just what some Americans say, who have tried HP Brown Sauce.

No b ut I did take a load of streaky (American style) bacon and brushed Canadian Maple Syrup on as it cooked in a griddle pan while a naan bread warmed , then toasted the naan in the juices of the bacon, applied a thin amount of cheese spread to one half and then wrapped it around the bacon. It was amazing.

Has he tried soaking it in brine with a little honey for a day or so, then smoking it?

Or brushing the meat with watered down honey and then smoking it?

Fuck man that looks amazing. I could eat myself to death via naan. I’m doing my very best to stay away from carbs. When I order a burger out, I’ll go no bun and sub a salad for chips/fries. I’d rather just eat bread and candy all day.

No I have a couple of microfibre cloths to wipe my fingers while I’m eating and scrolling through stuff and then use hand sanitiser when I’m finished.

It’s no biggy. I have my computer in front of me, my TV to the right of it, a Tassimo coffee machine in between them and a beer fridge down by my right leg. So a couple of cloths and hand sanitiser aren’t OTT for me. Lol.
